I am trying to update the lintr workflow for {opencage} to the latest v2 version.
The old workflow from ~ a year ago did not throw any lintr warnings, but the new one does.

I failed to reproduce the lintr warnings locally at first (Win10, R 4.2, both lintr 2.01 and GH version from a few days ago). Then I remembered that at least on Travis CI the package to be checked had to be installed. This is also done in the old GH workflow. After uninstalling the package locally, I was able to reproduce the warnings as well, so this seems to be a requirement irrespective of the environment?!

I do not see that the package is installed in the v2 lintr workflow. Is this step indeed missing from the workflow? Or am I missing something?
