Spoon River Media, LLC is seeking a full-time Traffic & Office Manager for our La Porte, IN operations.  Previous office experience is preferred, however we will train you if you’re the right person for the position.  The ideal candidate would be able to work 40 hours per week during business hours and have a warm/friendly out-going personality, must be extremely detail oriented, have good general office clerical skills, and experience with Microsoft Office Suite software.  Social media and website management knowledge/experience would be beneficial.

Job responsibilities would include all functions related to producing daily Commercial Logs for all of the Spoon River Media stations.  Leaving a great “first impression” with listeners, advertisers, and station visitors while interacting with them at the front desk (greeting visitors, answer main phone line, and facilitate all needs of our visitors/callers in a positive manner).  Organizing all prizes given away (or auctioned) by our radio stations and prepare for pick up by winners (or buyers).  “Webmaster” for Hometownnewsnow.com, including content updates, process inquiries from website, help with content layout and marketing site content through Social Media updates.  Perform monthly billing for WCOE-FM, WLOI-AM/FM, WILP-FM, WBYS-AM/FM, WLSB-FM and HometownNewsNow.com.  Receive, Record, Post Payments to customer accounts and make Deposits at bank.  Input sales orders for certain “House” accounts.  Fill out affidavits for Barter customers.  And, publish quarterly issues for FCC Public File.

Spoon River Media, LLC is seeking a full time, experienced sales professional to represent La Porte County’s largest media outlet.  If you’re outgoing, creative, self-motivated, tenacious, detail-oriented, money motivated, have sales experience and reliable transportation, then we’d like to talk to you about joining Spoon River Media.  Prior media or business to business sales experience is preferred, but not required.  As a member of the Spoon River Media team, you’d be responsible for building and managing a client list, primarily by developing relationships with the business community inside and surrounding La Porte County, IN.

As an Account Manager, your daily responsibilities would include:

• Prospecting, developing and cultivating new business for 96.7 The Eagle, Rock 106.5, and HometownNewsNow.com.
• Setting up and conducting face-to-face meetings with qualified prospects. 
• Constructing and presenting proposals/contracts and creative concepts to business decision makers that address their marketing needs. 
• Negotiating business deals and acquiring prospect commitment. 
• Managing relationships with clients. 
• Communicating ongoing contact/sales activities to sales management team.
• Achieving individual monthly and annual sales objectives.
