Two months later (with an almost two-month-long break) I did it! However I still think that luck is required to beat this, it feels so good. I just had to finish this, otherwise I would have been defeated by a pico-8 game about shooting aliens.
p.s.: other than the excruciating gameplay, I think you have a really good game here that could be expanded upon!
