About me
I'm Jorijn, a freelance DevOps engineer and developer based in Oosterhout, the Netherlands. I've been building and maintaining software since 2004, and freelancing since 2012.
Background
I went freelance because I wanted to set my own quality bar. As an employee, I too often had to execute decisions I didn't believe in. As a freelancer, I can say no when something doesn't make sense — and yes to work I can be proud of.
Most of my work involves PHP (Symfony, Laravel) and cloud infrastructure. I've worked with the Dutch National Police, Schiphol Airport, Nike, and MijnOverheid. What drives me are complex problems, long-term partnerships, and cleaning up what others left behind.
One thing I always tell clients: good work takes time. I'd rather do it right than do it fast.
