Zusammenfassung
Die Porphyrien sind eine Gruppe vorwiegend hereditärer Stoffwechselstörungen der Hämbiosynthese. Die Betreuung eines Patienten mit akuter Porphyrie ist eine interdisziplinäre Herausforderung, bei der die Anästhesie eine koordinierende Funktion erfüllt. Da es für die Porphyrien bislang keine kausale Therapie gibt, richtet sich das Vorgehen im akuten Schub nach dem klinischen Bild. Im anästhesiologischen Umfeld ist insbesondere auf die Verwendung „sicherer“ Medikamente zu achten!
