We are a family-controlled, foundation-owned investment company with a unique offering in a world of endless institutional capital and private equity funds. We are granted with a set of distinct characteristics that we see as differentiating and not easily replicated – a good purpose, an illustrious history combined with flexible, patient and risk-willing capital – in a fiercely competitive world of acquiring and owning companies.

Being relatively small as an organization, we can have faster decision-making. We are a highly international approach and offer opportunities to learn from companies across several sectors in different situations.

We seek to understand longer term trends and staying fiercely informed but are natural sceptics of “the latest thing”. We believe that life is long – what comes around goes around – and value decency and honesty.

One distinction is important, we do pride ourselves as allocators of capital and as active owners through the boards of our investments, but we are not operators. We believe in the power of people, the sobering insights of data and that history has a tendency of repeating itself.

We are as organization deliberately small as this gives us an opportunity to be nimble and not get stuck in neither office politics nor bureaucracy.
