We carefor the environment
Environmental protection is not an add-on to our strategy - it is one of its pillars. In 2024, we doubled the number of stores equipped with photovoltaic panels. We introduced e-receipts to reduce paper consumption and give customers easier access to digital tools. We are modernizing product packaging in line with eco-design principles and, together with our suppliers, we are developing good practices in agriculture and logistics.

We buildresponsible relationships
We build our market advantage thanks to people - both those who create our organization and those who choose our stores every day. In 2024, we employed over 84,000 people and served more than 5 million customers daily. We invest in team development, product quality, and service standards, because we know that lasting success requires responsibility toward all stakeholders in our network.

We manageresponsibly
At Biedronka, ethics, transparency, and compliance are integral to our teams' daily decisions and to our relationships with partners and suppliers. In 2024, we introduced an internal reporting procedure, strengthening whistleblower protection and a culture of openness. In pursuing our corporate responsibility policy, we remain committed to local sourcing - as much as 94% of food products in our assortment came from Polish suppliers.

About the report
The Biedronka Sustainability Report, published by Jerónimo Martins Polska S.A., is an element of our transparent stakeholder communication strategy. Published annually since 2020, the report is based on the EU CSRD Directive and European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS), even though the company is not yet formally obliged to report under these regulations. The report covers data across the entire value chain, including greenhouse gas emissions, risk management policies, compliance activities, and relations with employees, consumers, and suppliers. It also highlights issues below the materiality threshold, deemed important from a strategic or social perspective.
