    Cache

    Cache

    Nothing but Cache

Cache doesn't claim to be unique in this area, but it's not another monster library that gives you a god's power. It does nothing but caching, but it does it well. It offers a good public API with out-of-box implementations and great customization possibilities. Cache utilizes Codable in Swift 4 to perform serialization. The cache is built based on a Chain-of-responsibility pattern, in which there are many processing objects, each knows how to do 1 task and delegates to the next one, so can you compose Storage the way you like. All Storage now are generic by default, so you can get a type of safety experience. Once you create a Storage, it has a type constraint that you don't need to specify a type for each operation afterward.

    Swift Guide

    Swift Guide

Swift Featured Projects in brain Mapping

SwiftGuide is a comprehensive, community-maintained guide to the Swift programming language, designed to serve as both a learning resource and a handy reference. It covers all major language aspects: syntax, control flow, functions, closures, generics, protocols, extensions, memory management, concurrency, and the standard library. Each topic typically includes clear explanations, annotated code snippets, and tips for best practices, helping readers understand both how features work and how to use them idiomatically. Over time, the guide has evolved alongside Swift itself, with updates to reflect new language releases, deprecations, and shifting patterns. It also collects references to additional resources, external libraries, and community articles, making it a kind of curated gateway. Because it’s open content, readers can contribute corrections, translations, or expansions to keep it current.

    XcodeProj

    XcodeProj

Read, update and write your Xcode projects

XcodeProj is a library written in Swift for parsing and working with Xcode projects. It's heavily inspired by CocoaPods XcodeProj and xcode. Using swift-sh you can automate project-tasks using scripts, for example, we can make a script that keeps a project’s version key in sync with the current git tag that represents the project’s version. Future adaption could easily include determining the version and bumping it automatically. If so, we recommend using a library that provides a Version object. Want to start using XcodeProj? Start by digging into our documentation which will help you get familiar with the API and get to know more about the Xcode projects structure.

    Blueprints

    Blueprints

A framework that is meant to make your life easier

Blueprints is a collection of flow layouts that is meant to make your life easier when working with collection view flow layouts. It comes with two built-in layouts that are highly flexible and easy to configure at the call site. They support properties like items per row and items per column; this will calculate the layout attributes needed for fitting the number of views that you want to appear on the screen. The framework also provides a good base for your custom implementations. By extending the core blueprint layout, you get built-in support for animations and layout attribute caching. The bundled default animator supports animations that look very similar to what you get from a vanilla table view. If you want to provide your collection view animator, no problem; you can inject an animator of your choosing when initializing the layout.

    Design Patterns in Swift

    Design Patterns in Swift

    Design Patterns implemented in Swift

Design-Patterns-In-Swift is a repository that translates classic software engineering design patterns (from sources like the Gang of Four) into Swift code examples, so you can see how those patterns look in a modern, strongly typed, object-/protocol-oriented language. It covers creational, structural, and behavioral patterns: singletons, factories, decorators, observers, strategy, command, mediator, and more. For each pattern, you’ll typically see one or more Swift implementations, commentary on where it makes sense in a Swift architecture, and caveats about when you might prefer pure protocol composition or using functional patterns instead. The examples aim to be readable and idiomatic—not overly abstract or contrived—so developers can adopt or adapt them directly.

    Generative AI Swift

    Generative AI Swift

This SDK is now deprecated, use the unified Firebase SDK.

deprecated-generative-ai-swift is a Swift client and example scaffold for building generative AI apps using the Gemini models. Although marked “deprecated”, the repo demonstrates how to integrate Gemini inference into iOS and macOS apps via Swift APIs, providing boilerplate for prompt dispatching, streaming responses, UI integration, and error handling. It includes a sample app that showcases a chat interface, where users send messages and receive responses streamed in real time, with UI updates as tokens arrive. The code also handles request queuing, cancellation, and retry logic, giving developers a realistic foundation rather than a minimalist “hello world.” Despite its deprecated label, the repo remains valuable for developers who want to see how a native Swift integration might be structured before migrating to newer SDKs. Maintainability is emphasized: modular layers separate networking, prompt handling, and UI logic, making adaptation easier when switching to updated APIs.

    Spring (MengTo)

    Spring (MengTo)

A library to simplify iOS animations in Swift

Spring is a delightful animation library for iOS that turns complex Core Animation sequences into simple, declarative presets you can trigger with a few lines of Swift. It exposes a large set of ready-made animations—springy pops, fades, slides, morphs, and attention-grabbers—so designers and developers can prototype polished interactions rapidly. Thanks to Interface Builder support (via inspectable properties), many animations can be configured visually and previewed live, shortening the design-implementation loop. Under the hood, Spring abstracts timing functions, damping, velocity, and chaining so you get natural motion without juggling dozens of CAAnimation parameters. You can sequence or group effects, apply them conditionally, and reuse presets across views to keep a consistent motion language in your app. The overall philosophy is to make delightful motion accessible: even if you’re not an animation expert, you can ship interactions that feel crisp, modern, and on-brand.

    SwiftLog

    SwiftLog

    A Logging API for Swift

swift-log is the official, vendor-neutral logging API for Swift, providing a small, performant core that libraries and applications adopt to avoid logger lock-in. It defines common logging semantics and levels, plus a lightweight façade that backends can implement—so the same application code can run with different logging engines (e.g., OSLog on Apple platforms or custom sinks on servers). The package embraces Swift Package Manager, offers a clean Logger API, and is widely used across the Swift on server and Apple-platform ecosystems. The repo’s release notes and ecosystem links show active maintenance, CI coverage for recent Swift versions, and community-supplied backends. By decoupling the API from any one implementation, swift-log simplifies composition: frameworks can log consistently without dictating the logging stack to end users. It’s a foundational building block for production Swift services, tools, and apps looking for consistent, structured telemetry.

    SwiftOCR

    SwiftOCR

Fast and simple OCR library written in Swift

SwiftOCR is a fast and simple OCR library written in Swift. It uses a neural network for image recognition. As of now, SwiftOCR is optimized for recognizing short, one-line long alphanumeric codes (e.g. DI4C9CM). We currently support iOS and OS X. If you want to recognize normal text like a poem or a news article, go with Tesseract, but if you want to recognize short, alphanumeric codes (e.g. gift cards), I would advise you to choose SwiftOCR because that's where it exceeds. Tesseract is written in C++ and over 30 years old. To use it you first have to write a Objective-C++ wrapper for it. The main issue that's slowing down Tesseract is the way memory is managed. Too many memory allocations and releases slow it down.

    iOS Interview Questions

    iOS Interview Questions

    iOS interview questions

This repository collects a broad, categorized list of interview questions (with expected answers) that are commonly asked in iOS or Swift engineering interviews. Topics range from language fundamentals (memory management, ARC, value vs. reference types), to UIKit/SwiftUI, concurrency, Grand Central Dispatch, background execution, networking, design patterns, system frameworks, and architecture decisions. Each question is usually backed by sample explanations or code snippets, helping candidates understand not just what to answer but why it matters and how to reason about tradeoffs. Because the repo is maintained, it evolves to reflect changes in the iOS ecosystem: for example, newer Swift concurrency, Combine, SwiftUI, structured concurrency, or recent platform APIs. Many interviewers and candidates use it as a structured prep tool: reviewing categories, doing mock answers, or drilling tricky concepts.
