I ran into this issue, and followed the changes in this pull request to solve it. Solves all the issues I had with the current docs:

just want to mention that passing in a custom user agent string does not work for me. i'm unsure if it's this fix works for the reconnecting, but not when setting up a new connection. i've never been able to connect to icloud even once even when passing a custom ua. |
