Why Subscribe to Poem-a-Day?

I write a lot of poems and rather than just letting them sit around in my files, I decided, four years ago, to post my new work via this Substack. It comes out to around one poem a day, hence poem-a-day, though I do go through occasional droughts, which are evened out by times when I write (and share) several poems a day. If this Substack goes quiet for a time, I’m likely traveling or distracted, but I always come back to it. I will shut down the site if I ever feel as if I’m not at least working towards the promise of sharing with you a poem every day.
