Join me on my adventures in pursuit of wellness—because the best prescriptions to refill for chronic illness are laughter, curiosity, and community.
About Me
From experimenting with bee venom in Montenegro to doing mushrooms with my chiropractor on the upper east side, my journey to wellness has been anything but a straight line. Sometimes I’m up; sometimes I’m down; sometimes I’m in between. But I’m never without a story.
Inspired by George Plimpton’s immersive curiosity, Anthony Bourdain’s appetite for adventure, and Elizabeth Wurtzel’s unfiltered honesty, Beyond the Rx charts my ongoing adventures as I search for ways to transform chronic illness into chronic wellness.
I’ll be honest with you: some of my attempts are revelatory, others are a little embarrassing. A few are so ridiculous they should come with a warning label. But all of them are proof that options are out there and healing can happen even if, on paper, it might look different.
And I’ll tell you this from deep experience— you don’t have to wait to be “cured” to build a life that’s deeply satisfying.
Joy and hope are everything. Let’s hold them together.

This blog is for you if you’re living with chronic illness, inflammation, or plain old exhaustion and stress.
This blog is for you if you’re curious about alternative healing but not ready to trade your doctor for a drum circle.
This blog is for you if you believe connection, conversation, and the occasional wild dance party or howl to the moon can heal as much as anything in a pill bottle.
And this blog is for you if you simply enjoy a well-spun yarn.
If you fit any of those categories, pull up a chair.
Beyond the Rx is my round table. Join me.
