Who am I?

• former blogger and class creator at MamaScout

• current professor of Creative Writing, Composition, Literature, and First Year Seminars in Connecticut

• current tutor to international students working on individualized projects (a chapbook about insects - yes!)

• current instructional designer for Journeys in Film, where I write educational materials for filmmakers on a variety of subjects(from Maya Deren’s Meshes in the Afternoon, to rural health, to WW2 bomber jackets, to literacy programs in refugee camps)

• researching and creating role-playing games for the classroom and communities, especially interested in solo TTRPGs as creative generators and healing activities

• novelist finishing the edits on my first novel about a woman who time-travels through discarded material culture

• playwright just finished a playwriting incubator at Yale, where I wrote 3 min, 10 min, and full-length plays about video games, parking lots, and the Ugly Duckling

• single mom of 3 college students hustling to pay the bills, buy enough protein, and create a life of opportunity and service

• former interest-led homeschooler (I have radical ideas about education, feel free to reach out)

• lover of dogs, art museums, camping, travel, regional foodways, reading….
