Welcome to Chaplaincy Now, your source for insights on the evolving field of spiritual and community care from The Center for Chaplaincy Studies. Here we explore the practice, study, and future of providing meaningful support in today's complex world.
Why Chaplaincy Now?
The landscape of spiritual care is rapidly changing. Chaplaincy is expanding beyond traditional settings like hospitals and the military, reaching into corporations, universities, community organizations, digital spaces, and more. At the same time, the people chaplains serve are increasingly diverse – religiously, spiritually, and culturally – including a growing number who identify as spiritual but not religious, agnostic, or atheist.
Chaplaincy Now exists to explore these vital shifts. We aim to foster understanding, share innovative approaches, and highlight the competencies needed for effective and compassionate spiritual care in the 21st century.
