The Second Act is the weekly newsletter I always wanted in my inbox, packed with obsessively-curated recommendations, thoughtful reflections on books, feelings, parenting wins (and fails), and the art of making room for more. Whether you're seeking inspiration or connection, The Second Act offers a warm, inviting space for all.
Welcome to The Second Act. This is a space for curiosity and softness. For parenting with presence. For reading widely. For noticing small joys and making room for more, without chasing perfection or pretending life is perfectly aesthetic.
Here are the weekly rhythms of The Second Act.
Tuesdays
Tuesdays are my main post each week, where personal reflection meets practical inspiration. These essays blend lived-in storytelling with recommendations, ideas, and observations pulled straight from real life.
Expect writing that feels thoughtful but approachable. Grounded, not glossy. The kind of post you save, forward, or return to when you need a little perspective.
Wednesdays
Midweek Musings is a cozy mix of book recommendations, reading reflections, family activities, and literacy for littles, the posts I’d bring up at a playdate, at the library, or while browsing shelves with a friend. This is where my love of reading meets my life as a parent.
Fridays
Petite Pause is your end-of-week scroll break, warm, useful, and thoughtfully curated. A perfect read to usher in the weekend!
Sundays
The Sunday Edition is off-the-cuff, reflective, and conversational, more journal entry than essay. These posts are about checking in, naming what’s tender, and easing into the week ahead. Unpolished but intentional. A coffee catch-up in newsletter form.
Coming February 2026
Weekly Serial Fiction
I’m writing a serial (!!) and releasing it right here on Substack.
There’s something electric about writing in real time, about letting readers walk through a story with me instead of waiting years for a finished book.
A little peek: When a burned-out lifestyle columnist agrees to take part in a month-long proof of love experiment with a data-obsessed behavioral scientist, they complete weekly tasks designed to test what makes two strangers fall for each other.
What starts as convenience slowly becomes something neither of them expected.
A grown-up slow burn, told one Monday at a time.
Arriving February 2026.
