dear liberation

is a liberation series, retracing our steps in understanding the erased and buried histories of revolutions against the ruling class, in the home, in the community and with larger movements today.

we’ve not always been like this — forced to be living under the thumb of a monopoly, be it the patriarchy, state or corporation. so, how do we decolonize, unlearn and relearn who we are outside centuries of forced colonial indoctrinations?

this is an invitation for you to subscribe and share these rivers of lived realities that white, cis, patriarchal and capitalist spaces in the hands of a few cover up. one way or another, I owe it to the pervasive censorships (schools, workplaces, the WWW world) and the internet (a paradox i swear) for asking an annoying amount of questions with the hope to pursue the truth.

that little me that always ended up questioning authority, albeit ‘quietly’, hasn’t changed and it brings us here, where I’ve finally mustered up the courage to open my mind up to someone else. not as a journalist, pursuing facts and writing as a so-called ‘neutral’ voice, but as a student of collective liberation.

the fact of the matter is, neutrality/objective is a lie fed to us by those that want us oppressed and brainwashed, self-harming ourselves without even knowing/questioning anything we eat, wear and do.

dear liberation is where you’ll read easily accessible (in english, for now) analyses, reflections and sometimes mere observations about liberation movements. sometimes supported by better known archives of research and other times, personal interviews/stories with people who are not remembered/documented, courtesy of the extreme bias of our digital realm.

thank you for being here, though. i hope all the truth, affirmation and clarity come from these pieces.

What are the roots of liberation, in life, in our ancestries, in love and in community? What is collective liberation, in practice, in different timescapes, systems and lands?
