In 2025, eBirders submitted more than 16 million complete checklists—an unprecedented demonstration of commitment and enthusiasm from the global birding community. Every checklist, from everyday feeder birds to rare encounters, contributes essential data for monitoring avian populations.
2025 marked another extraordinary year for eBird, Merlin Bird ID, the Macaulay Library, and Birds of the World. Together, the birding community reached incredible milestones in worldwide participation, engagement, and conservation data gathering.
