About A Thin Space

Here I am in a tiny triangular garden on New York City’s Lower East Side.

Welcome to A Thin Space!

I’m Emily, a writer and spiritual companion as well as a host and facilitator of contemplative practices, workshops, and retreats. I am also a mother, partner, gardener, and maker. Whatever your route, I am grateful you found yourself here. Consider this space an invitation to explore what it means for you to live with more intention and awareness, experience healing and wholeness, and enter safe, welcoming community.

This space will bring you joy if:

  • You really want to feel seen (even though the idea freaks you out a little or a lot)

  • You need someone to listen to you, not fix or judge or otherwise mess with you.

  • You want to engage in deep community, but it also scares you a little bit (or a lot).

  • You desperately need to experience your own inherent wholeness, ok-ness, belovedness, enough-ness, completeness, but you don’t think that’s possible, or at least, not very often.

  • You need someone to create space for all of the above to happen.

Well, that’s what I do. I create space, and I’d love for you to join me in it, because I also need each and every thing on that list. Together I think we can find them.

If you want help finding what’s on the list and companionship along the way, please consider a free or paid subscription and support the work of intention, awareness, and belonging here at A Thin Space.
