I’m Emily, a 16 year old reader, writer, dancer; and highschool student. Originally from Cuba, born and raised in Havana and currently based in Arizona. I feel like I think too much and some of it is worth sharing with the world, perhaps there’s someone out there that feels the same way and relates to what happens inside this mind of mine.

Idle Writes is truly just as it sounds, just me leisurely writing, doing it for the simplicity of personal enjoyment. I have decided to make this my little corner of the Internet. Think of this blog like a coffee date with a friend—casual, honest, and maybe a little scattered (in the best way of course). I treat this substack as my diary (or notes app) where I spill all my thoughts and passions which consist of fashion, literature, cinema, art; and my very own personal experiences.
