Farsang is an old Persian measurement of distance: the amount you can walk in a day. Our content offers a brief escape, and travel is at the heart of what we do.

We’re drawn to topics that lead you down an online rabbit-hole when you should know better.  Wikipedia entries, threads, videos, music, books, films - these may be sparks for fleshed out articles, short reviews, and photo-essays.

Farsang has an eye for overlooked corners of history and underreported areas of the present - we hope that Farsang can be a place where people share their interests in a way that is passionate and entertaining.

SUBMISSIONS

We are looking for written pieces between 1000-1500 words,  reviews of 400-750 words and photo essays of 8-10 images. Send us an email and we can work together to give your writing a home at Farsang.
