I write to sharpen our collective intuition about style.
Here, you’ll find inspiration for styling what you already own, the thinking behind my shopping decisions when I do buy something new, and lots of how-tos on outfit formulas, styling tools, and tricks. Plus a healthy dose of overthinking, because of course.
You’ll probably relate if you’re a busy woman who cares about personal style but doesn’t have unlimited time to obsess over it (even if you do love a good spiral). If you live in that paradox, so do I.
I write this because getting dressed every day helped me through grief. It didn’t fix anything, but it gave me a reason to move. A daily ritual that was mine. And I started to wonder if we’re getting dressed anyway, why not let it become a vehicle for improving our lives?

10 ways to wear a blue striped shirt in the summer
I’m a big fan of no duplicates in my closet. Once something fills a role, I move on. Sure, I make exceptions (the Liam vests in brown and navy are absolutely two different vests, don’t come for me), but in general, I like one piece per purpose.
How I made the 3-word method actually work for me
I’m sitting in my hotel room in Paris, reflecting on the past 2.5 weeks of travel through Brussels, Antwerp, Lille, and now Paris. I wore every single thing I packed and there wasn’t a single day I didn’t feel like myself in my outfit.

What a coincidence that everyone’s writing about color right now, right?
Who I am
Hi, I’m Asta. I’m a Senior Executive in Tech, working in Design. I studied Industrial Design in college and later earned an MFA in Graphic Design. Funny enough, that training has turned out to be the secret sauce behind how I think about style. A lot of the principles I use in my wardrobe—shape, contrast, line, function—come straight from my design brain, and I love sharing that lens here.
I live in Los Angeles with my husband and our two dogs. My life and therefore my closet is mostly built around work (in a corporate office), weekend brunches, and a lot of travel (mostly for work, let’s be honest). Through all of that, I try to keep a consistent style through line that makes me feel like me, no matter the setting.
