In this context, internet access is not a convenience. It is a basic survival tool.

Connectivity allows families to confirm who is alive, locate medical assistance, coordinate aid, access information about water distribution, continue remote work when possible, and document what is happening. When physical movement is restricted and systems collapse, digital access becomes one of the last remaining links to the outside world.
