feat: auto-indexing and file watching on MCP startup#6
Merged
Conversation
- Add `notify` crate for filesystem event monitoring (inotify/FSEvents) - Create `watcher.rs` module with debounced file watching (2s debounce) - Auto-detect git project root and run `codeseek init` on MCP start - Auto-watch file changes and trigger incremental MD5-based re-index - Smart file filtering: watch source files, skip target/.git/node_modules - Guard-based lifecycle: watcher stops automatically on shutdown - Update MCP server startup with 6-phase lifecycle - Register watcher module in lib.rs
Stop indexing and vectorizing .js and .jsx files across the codebase. The following components have been updated to exclude JavaScript variants: - Remove .js and .jsx from is_supported_file() and WATCHED_EXTENSIONS - Delete "js" | "jsx" language mapping from parser, treesitter, and incremental storage modules - Update CLAUDE.md with CodeSeek MCP tool priority guidelines These changes reduce unnecessary processing and storage overhead for unsupported language types. TypeScript, Python, Rust, and other configured languages remain fully indexed and tracked.
