37 years in construction. Currently building apps and tools with code.
I spent over three decades in construction, owned a home building company, built hundreds of buildings and developments, served on planning boards, ran crews, managed projects, and learned that half the job is managing data.
Now I'm applying that same problem-solving mindset to code. Not chasing a developer career, just building things I still need and use in the industry: estimation tools, dashboards, workflow automation, internal apps, etc.
I build like I'm still in construction: figure out the end goal, find the path, get it done.
Claude Code, Codex, and Grok Build have become my internal team, I bring the plans and the problem, it helps me execute.
I am also leaning towards local AI more and more. I believe the future is owning your compute, owning your model, and owning your data.

Based in Florida. Still think construction is the best industry on earth, I'm still in it, on different levels.
