Can we access your project?

  • I give permission for members of the FlutterFlow team to access and test my project for the sole purpose of investigating this issue.

Current Behavior

9/10 times when exporting an APK, FF Desktop will crash immediately without warning or error message. It's completely random if it works. If a git push is already in progress, the APK export works sometimes (25%). In the video attached, I'm exporting right after launch, but this also happens when FF is open and fully loaded for up to an hour. Export from Web (app.flutterflow.io) works every time.

Expected Behavior

FF doesn't crash when an APK is being exported.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Launch a project in FF Desktop (windows)
  2. Click the export APK button
  3. Observe the crash
  4. Relaunch FF and repeat APK export 3-4 times, might work but will probably crash each time.
  5. Start a git push of the project and while it's running, export the APK
  6. It should export at that point (about 25% of the time)

Reproducible from Blank

  • The steps to reproduce above start from a blank project.

Visual documentation

Environment

- FlutterFlow version: 5.4.8
- Platform: Windows
- Browser name and version: Edge (136.0.03240.64)
- Operating system and version affected: Windows 11 Pro 23H2

Additional Information

Video is failing to upload, not sure why. The video was literally me just launching FF, clicking export APK in my project then an immediate crash of FF. Did this 3-4 times, crashed each time.

Hi! I'm sorry you're experiencing this issue.
I've tried to reproduce the error but had no trouble downloading the APK on my end.
When you say 'export APK', do you mean 'download APK'?
Is this issue happening in a specific project, or does it occur with all of them?
If you could attach a video showing the problem, that would really help us understand it better.
Best regards.

Hello!

Thanks for the quick reply. This occurs on all of my projects when I attempt to Download the APK by clicking the Download APK button. I have a pretty crappy PC (old i5 with emmc storage) but that doesn't cause bugs elsewhere so I'm skeptical to blame it.

As for a video of the event, I have one which showcases multiple repeated crashes but need to DM or email the link, I can't post it publicly. Can you send me a contact point?

Hi again!
Unfortunately, we haven’t been able to reproduce the error on our side. Based on what you’ve described, it’s possible that the issue is related to your computer’s specific configuration. Have you tried using FlutterFlow on a different device?

Since we haven’t been able to replicate the problem, the best next step would be to contact support—either via the in-app chat or by emailing [email protected]. They have the tools needed to verify that everything is set up correctly.

Best regards
