Thanks. My bad. I work in a multi os environment and hit a bump when my Linux deployment box missed a file name change done on a windows dev box. I wondered why and realized that git-cli works distinctively different on windows and Linux and quite annoyingly so. |

Is there a compelling reason why core.ignorecase is true on Windows. I do know that the OS is not case sensitive but the file system is and as code could be CDed to a Linux server case does matter.
I see no adverse effects with
