As a user, I want the ability to share my terminal with other users for the purpose of pair programming and debugging.

Discussion notes:

  • Customers will want sharing
  • Will want RBAC
  • Will want to have a way to list open terminals and then have the ability to connect or close
  • Will probably need to examine the whether we should automatically create a terminal when someone loads a terminal URL with
  • Human-friendly URLs for easier sharing (shorter, more readable than UUIDs)
  • Allow en/disable it org/site wide for those that have security policy or concern
  • Depending on whether this is read-only or full read-write sharing, use standard RBAC for this and have a rule that applies at the root of the hierarchy.
  • Assume that deployment-wide on/off should work through our RBAC system not something else
  • Every time access was given it should be timeboxed

Earmarking this for Enterprise for now. Per @kylecarbs the effort is relatively low because it just needs some RBAC added.

This still needs customer validation right?

@ammario yep! I'll be gathering feedback proactively for this during Beta and early launch so there is plenty of time to make a decision on inclusion for Enterprise (or not).
