This change introduces two new configuration options to the AndroidConfig object: BandwidthConstrainedOK and RestrictedSatelliteOK. These boolean options allow developers to specify whether a message should be allowed to be delivered when the receiving device is in a bandwidth-constrained state or when it is connected via a restricted satellite network. Adding these properties provides greater granularity and control over message delivery behavior in resource-constrained environments.

Summary of Changes

Hello, I'm Gemini Code Assist1! I'm currently reviewing this pull request and will post my feedback shortly. In the meantime, here's a summary to help you and other reviewers quickly get up to speed!

This pull request enhances the AndroidConfig object by adding two new boolean fields, BandwidthConstrainedOK and RestrictedSatelliteOK. These additions provide developers with finer control over message delivery behavior, allowing them to specify whether messages should be sent to devices operating under bandwidth constraints or connected via restricted satellite networks. This improves adaptability for diverse network conditions.

Highlights

  • New AndroidConfig Options: Introduced BandwidthConstrainedOK and RestrictedSatelliteOK boolean fields to the AndroidConfig struct. These options allow developers to specify whether messages should be delivered to devices in bandwidth-constrained states or connected via restricted satellite networks.

🧠 New Feature in Public Preview: You can now enable Memory to help Gemini Code Assist learn from your team's feedback. This makes future code reviews more consistent and personalized to your project's style. Click here to enable Memory in your admin console.

Changelog
  • messaging/messaging.go
    • Added BandwidthConstrainedOK field to AndroidConfig struct.
    • Added RestrictedSatelliteOK field to AndroidConfig struct.
  • messaging/messaging_test.go
    • Updated AndroidDataMessage test case to include BandwidthConstrainedOK and RestrictedSatelliteOK in the request.
    • Updated the expected JSON output for AndroidDataMessage to include the new fields.

Code Review

This pull request introduces BandwidthConstrainedOK and RestrictedSatelliteOK options to the AndroidConfig object, enhancing control over message delivery in resource-constrained environments. The implementation is straightforward and includes necessary test updates. I have one suggestion regarding a duplicated test case name in the test file, which could improve maintainability. Please see the specific comment for details.
