Thank you for opening a Pull Request! Before submitting your PR, there are a few things you can do to make sure it goes smoothly:

  • Make sure to open an issue as a bug/issue before writing your code! That way we can discuss the change, evaluate designs, and agree on the general idea
  • Ensure the tests and linter pass
  • Code coverage does not decrease (if any source code was changed)
  • Appropriate docs were updated (if necessary)

Unlike ML.EVALUATE, ML.ARIMA_EVALUATE is mostly about the model information, and can't be applied to new data. I didn't see that at first place.

That means it can't fit in model.score(X, y) story. I'm thinking of adding a .summary() method like https://www.sktime.net/en/latest/api_reference/auto_generated/sktime.forecasting.arima.AutoARIMA.html#sktime.forecasting.arima.AutoARIMA.summary. Lemme know what you think.
