Work in progress

Willy Tarreau edited this page Sep 11, 2020 · 1 revision

Some people are working on certain features that can take a long time to get ready for a merge into mainline, hence their work is not particularly visible. If you're working on a long term feature to be merged and want to let others know you're already on it so that the efforts are not duplicated and/or they can join efforts, feel free to edit this page and add a link to your repository. As a rule of thumb, anything for the next release doesn't need to appear there.

And if you're just curious about what's being cooked for a future release, or if you want to work on something and prefer to check before if someone already started working on it, please have a look here.

Please note, this is not for advertisement, there needs to be real ongoing work for the projects linked there and ideally these ones ought to have been discussed at least a little bit on the list to make sure there's no duplicate effort. Please do not announce a future version unless your code was already finished and merged into the -next branch. Please remove the links once the code gets merged into the next version.

Last point, please do not annoy the project owners about how their code works nor how to use it, or you're just going to slow them down even further. Reports about bugs spotted in reviews are probably welcome depending if the code looks clean or like a complete puzzle.
