General Information

This is the project files team octopus for ME 5751 at Cal poly pomona fall 2022. By jonathan Jenkins. This Github folder contain the 4 modules, final, and competition files. The goal of this project was to develope motion mapping software for a virtual robot. The code i developed had the following key features:

  • A* algorithm
  • PID Controler for virtual wheels
  • Cost map and Brush Fire Algorithm
  • Probabilistic Road Map

Project File Structure

The following is a breakdown of the different folders and the files contained in them:

  1. CODE

    • the main branch of the code use to similate a robot and execute mapping algorithms Directions:
    • open entire folder in vs code
    • under "Cost Map.py" Choose the map you want to use
    • Run "E160_gui.py" to run probram
    • For more instructions go to the instructure website.

     

  2. Module (1-4)
    This folder contains a copy all each submited module and the code folder during that module

     

  3. Final

    • Contains copy of final project code and documenation

     

  4. Competition

    • Contains copy of files given to the class for the compeition project

     

  5. ME 5751 Website

Note: Updating the lab report onto canvas . will also include a zip file of the custom program.
