Overview

I've already worked on this in my personal repository, and since there’s a large amount of code changes, I decided to split it into two PRs.

I plan to proceed in the following two ways.

1. Add an include method to ClassNamePatternFilterUtils.
2. Implement include and exclude filtering when calling registerAutoDetectedExtensions in MutableExtensionRegistry.

• There are no TODOs left in the code
• Method preconditions are checked and documented in the method's Javadoc
• Coding conventions (e.g. for logging) have been followed
• Change is covered by automated tests including corner cases, errors, and exception handling
• Public API has Javadoc and @API annotations
• Change is documented in the User Guide and Release Notes
