Option
f-instrument-functions
helps in profiling functions. This PR adds support for the option by declaring function attributesinstrument_function_entry
andinstrument_function_exit
. LLVM Backend adds calls to the functions__cyg_profile_func_enter
and__cyg_profile_func_exit
which can be intercepted by user to profile every function.These changes are to support #112330. anchuraj#2 is remaining changes to support flag in flang
