I ran boilerplate.py in another branch without any of my changes. These changes appear as a result.

boilerplate.py imports matplotlib from the environment; I don't think this is a bug in the script: #29879 (comment)

Will try later, but I also suspect that it's not a bug in boilerplate but an install issue. - Maybe a e can make boilerplate check from which file matplotlib is imported and that this matches the path that it writes to.
