It seems that macOS is failing a bit more now; hopefully a slightly longer timeout is all that is needed.

Sadly, it appears this did not fix anything https://github.com/matplotlib/matplotlib/actions/runs/4301642051/jobs/7499122464#step:13:468 Maybe it's just really slow or there's something else going on.
