They have been put into the separate mpl-third-party repository, and the original page was removed in matplotlib#20952.
These were replaced with embedded code in matplotlib#24429.

Assuming that the doc build passes etc.
These have stopped being used since matplotlib#8525 with the switch to sphinx-gallery.
These have been replaced by other versions or the mpl-sphinx-theme.

PR summary
