Metropolis Retro is a team of cutting-edge chess and games players who also love open-source on GitHub. We’re here to celebrate global games, with a vibrant, tech-loving community.
We ran 25 events at the world famous Breakfast Creek Hotel from October 2025 to the end June 2026 mainly on Monday nights. The first event was on a Wednesday afternoon. The second and third events were on Tuesday afternoons. From the 4th event onwards we played Mondays initially starting at 4:30pm but then transitioning to 5pm and then later to a 5:30pm start. During this 8+ months we had a short break for about 2+ months in early 2026
Plans are in progress for moving from Monday night to another more popular night of the week 😎🍻.
