Hi NumPy team,

We’ve successfully tested CI changes for the ppc64le architecture using the GitHub Actions (GHA) runner, and everything is working smoothly in our setup. You can see an example CI run here: https://github.com/sandeepgupta12/numpy/actions/runs/15274725110

We'd like to propose enabling the GitHub Actions app in this repository to allow CI jobs for the Power (ppc64le) architecture to run using GitHub-hosted runners. This would improve upstream compatibility and help ensure that NumPy continues to work reliably across architectures.

The runner is provided by IBM and integrates seamlessly with existing GitHub Actions workflows. Technical documentation is publicly available here: https://github.com/IBM/actionspz/tree/main/docs

We’re very keen to enable this for NumPy given its importance in the Python and scientific computing ecosystem. We’re happy to assist with the setup and work with the community to ensure a smooth integration.
