Thanks for working on this @Spoonhead0. A suggestion for review: it will be easier to post new versions of the SVG on the issue as screenshots. It's easier to read there, and there's no need for running CI. I will post the current screenshot and my review comments there. |

Let me close this, the discussion is on gh-17517 and there's a fair bit of work to do there - better to open a new PR when a new visual is ready. Thanks @Spoonhead0 |

I created a flowchart for the I/O how to documentation and added it to the repository.
(This is my first github contribution. I believe I read all of NumPy's first time contribution instructions, but please let me know if there is something I did incorrectly. )
