Voucher timeline: The student voucher is confirmed to return on September 30, and once active, it will remain available through the academic year. Students should plan to claim early, as quantities can be limited. Progress carryover: Unfortunately, PSI-based progress cannot be transferred, since the exam engines and tracking systems are different. Only completed PSI certifications remain visible inside GitHub Learn; partially completed attempts won't migrate. Certification visibility: All existing PSI-issued certifications stay in your GitHub Learn profile. New certifications earned via Pearson VUE will appear in your Microsoft Learn dashboard automatically — no manual sync required.
Exam syllabus: Core content generally remains unchanged. Microsoft Learn may improve question clarity, exam structure, or interface, but the skills measured for Foundations and Copilot remain aligned to GitHub’s original blueprint. Learning pathways: With GitHub feeding into Microsoft Learn, students gain access to integrated study paths, sandbox environments, and unified skill badges. The credentials remain distinct, but preparation resources are now more structured.
Eligibility: Requirements remain the same — a verified student status through the Student Developer Pack. Voucher limit: Each voucher is single-use and applies to one exam (Foundations or Copilot). Future years may bring separate vouchers, but the current offer is one per student. Hi morganersery1,, I have taken the GH-100 - GitHub Administration exam on July 18 and I can't locate any information about a result. I am just wondering if there is any place I can get any information on the grading progress or status? I don't see anything on my MS Learn, Github's profile and I haven't received any emails. I tried to open some support case but no luck so far. Thanks |

Hi Pienczyk, I've just scheduled in my GH-100 exam and saw that there is a note saying it's in beta and that you won't get the result until 8 weeks after the beta has concluded. There is only one call out to this I found on the learn site, I could not find any mention of when the beta will finish so no solid timeline on when we get the results.

Will an Open Badge be issued upon completion of the certification? What if you want to take multiple exams or fail? Is there an alternative exam platform? Unlike other online exam platforms, this one does not appear to be "on demand"; instead, you have to book a time slot. |

Normally, when your application is denied, they send an email to the address you registered as a student. In that email, they explain the reason why your application was denied and what you need to correct in order to reapply. |

I'm also currently waiting for the GitHub Certification voucher as a
verified Student Developer Pack member. I faced the same issue where the
offer wasn't available when trying to redeem it.
I was informed by support that vouchers are usually released in batches,
typically around September and January, so I'm hoping to catch the next
release as well.
Let's keep monitoring it and hopefully we can both get access in the next
batch.

hey @morganersery1 I am writing to follow up regarding my student verification status. I previously raised a ticket regarding an issue claiming a certification voucher (Ticket 4419493). Following that interaction, my Student Developer Pack status appears to have been reset or revoked. Currently, when I log in and attempt to access the re-verification link (https://education.github.com/discount_requests/application), it automatically redirects me to the generic GitHub pricing page. Furthermore, my main dashboard at education.github.com/pack displays the message: "We're still processing your application. Once this is complete you will have access to the student developer pack offers." Because of this stuck processing state and the automatic redirect, I am completely unable to access the application form to re-verify my student status or submit my academic documents. Could you please clear the stuck verification state on my backend account profile so that I can successfully open the application page and re-submit my student credentials? Hello, For the past few weeks, when trying to claim my free GitHub Certification exam voucher, I kept receiving the error message: "That offer is not available right now, please try again later." However, as of recently, the Certification Exam offer tile has completely disappeared from my Student Developer Pack perks page entirely. I have tried logging in via an incognito window and clearing my browser cache/cookies, but the perk remains missing. Could a GitHub Education administrator please check if the voucher pool is completely depleted for this term, or if this is a platform-wide frontend sync issue? Thank you for your help. |

I would like to confirm whether the GitHub Certification Exam voucher
benefit for verified students has been permanently removed from the GitHub
Student Developer Pack or if it is only temporarily unavailable due to
voucher stock limitations.
Previously, the certification voucher benefit was visible in my Student
Developer Pack benefits page, but now it has disappeared completely.
Because of this, I would like to understand whether:

Simply put, the switcher that always gave an error when clicking for the
future GH-900 seems to no longer exist. Before, it always appeared, and
when clicked, it said to return later.
Now, not even that anymore!

The student voucher for GitHub certifications returns to the Student Developer Pack Tuesday, Sept 30, at 1pm EST. We’re thrilled to be able to expand on our offer from last year. The voucher can now be used for either the Foundations exam OR the Copilot exam.
Note that GitHub has moved to a different system, Microsoft Learn and Pearson VUE in order to deliver the exams.
PLEASE READ FIRST:
How do you get your voucher?
The voucher is available to verified students as a part of the Student Developer Pack. If you are not already verified, you can do so via your GitHub profile settings. Please see this post for instructions. If you already have the Student Developer Pack, log into your GH account and navigate to the Pack page. Find the Certification offer tile and click on the link that says ‘Request your offer code link’.
A unique, one-time-use code will appear in the tile. COPY the voucher code. Example:
How do you redeem the voucher?
Follow the step by step instructions below!
If not, follow the steps below and create a Microsoft account.
All set.
Once redirected to the scheduling page, fill out your information on Account Management
Once you filled out all the information, click Save.
