• CI run works
• If I bypass test failures, I am able to upload to code climate like in 2.6.8 pull_request below.

Changes include:

• The Kafka containers needed upgrades. Something related to old kafka images is broken. I updated to using bitnami kafka images in service containers
• One unit test consistently fails. With different seeds, there are other unit tests that fail from time to time.
• Code Climate test reporter has some problems with simple cov. Followed instructions from here to resolve the following error -- Error: json: cannot unmarshal object into Go struct field input.coverage of type []formatters.NullInt
