Proposal:
In _hashlib, we use EVP_MD_CTX_md and ERR_func_error_string but those functions are deprecated since OpenSSL 3.0. The task is to remove their usage while retaining backward compatibility, as for #134531.
Has this already been discussed elsewhere?
