Professional website for Sarah Jane Schmidt: www.sarahjaneschmidt.com.
If you're seeing this readme, you might be interested in how I put my site together. It is based off of the al-folio theme. I found it clean and simple, and love the way it displays project pages and publications.
When I built this page I had no idea what jekyll, ruby, and bundles are, and I only know enough now to slowly make minor changes. I found these sites useful for understanding and modifying my version of the site:
- Intros to how to fork and clone a repo
- Pages for Xcode, brew, ruby, and bundler (the guides mention them in more detail)
- Guide to making static sites with jekyll
- Tutorial on how to get the right version of ruby working on mac
- How to get a google domain working with github
- Adding twitter cards to a github jekyll site
