credential-provider-imdsinside ofutil-defaults-mode-node.This avoids loading the IMDS credential provider package unless it is used. It is currently loaded for every (AWS SDK) client because defaults-mode is part of the base client config.
dynamic imports were tested in Node.js and various bundler (esbuild, vite, webpack) configurations in aws/aws-sdk-js-v3#5681 and aws/aws-sdk-js-v3#5677.
