• If you see an error stating VCRUNTIME140.dll is missing, please install the Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2022.

• The .deb package has been tested and verified to work on Ubuntu 22.04 and Ubuntu 24.04.

• The AppImage version has been tested on Ubuntu 22.04.
• It has not yet been verified on Ubuntu 24.04.

This is the release after 5 years since the last release.

AI-based commit message generation has been implemented. Stability and performance have been improved. Support for submodules and other features continue to be experimental.

When running on macOS, you may get an error like “cannot be opened” due to security. In that case, you need to remove the quarantine attribute by doing the following

xattr -d com.apple.quarantine Guitar.app

Such commands must be executed at your own risk and are not supported by the author.
