4. Installation procedure

stadid edited this page Dec 28, 2025 · 5 revisions
  1. Download installation USB zip archive
Go to https://github.com/stadid/webcontrol/releases and choose most up to date installation USB zip archive version (do not mix with update zip versions!). Once downloaded it's recommended to verify SHA checksum to ensure file integrity.

  2. Prepare installation USB drive
Get yourself a USB drive with capacity over 2Gb and format it in FAT32 (put any volume label you like). Extract contents of the downloaded zip archive to the root of the USB drive. After you perform the above operations root of your installation USB should look like on the screenshot below.

IMPORTANT NOTICE!
Below instructions and screenshots applies ONLY to the supported mini-PC models (Beelink T4 Pro and Beelink T5). See Hardware requirements section for details. If you are using another mini-PC model automatic installation procedure most probably FAIL! In case you are using unsupported mini-PC model you have to install Webcontrol drive image manually by using Clonezilla menus.

During Webcontrol installation ALL DATA inside mini-PC will be overwritten!

Please keep in mind that even with supported hardware screenshots below could differ from the real situation, so do not panic! If you encounter such situation try to use this instructions as a general guideline adopting it to your situation.

  1. Boot Mini-PC with installation USB
Connect Mini-PC to the monitor/TV and keyboard. Insert installation USB you prepared during previous steps and press power button, after that press F7 key. Boot menu should appear. In the boot menu select you flash drive (depending on your drive this string could look completely different than one on the screenshot below).

  2. Starting installation
After Mini-PC boots from usb, Clonezilla menu appears with automatic install entry already selected. You can wait for automatic execution or press ENTER to start installation procedure immediately. Installation procedure is fully automatic and does not require any user interaction.

  3. Finalizing installation
Wait until you'll be prompted to Reboot / Power off / Enter command prompt. Choose Power off. If you receive any errors during installation it could be caused by corrupted download file or bad USB flash drive. Try to start installation once again or re-download file and/or use another USB drive.

  4. Identifying mini-PC IP address
After successful installation remove USB drive / keyboard from mini-PC leaving it connected to monitor/TV. Afterwards connect mini-PC to your LAN by Ethernet cable and switch mini-PC on. Wait until mini-PC loads. IP address received by mini-PC will be displayed on top left of the screen. Alternatively, advanced users could find Webcontrol IP using their router management software.

  • If you see address 127.0.1.1 it means that your mini-PC failed to get IP address from your router. Check your cable/router settings and try to reconnect network cable.
  • If you see address different from 127.0.1.1 it means that IP address was assigned successfully. (On the screenshot below mini-PC obtained IP address 192.168.10.139).
