Use fabpot/symfony instead of symfony/symfony for pull requests. Also, don't do a pull request on master but on a given commit or better on a topic branch. It eases things a lot for me especially of I don't merge your changes right away. Thanks. |

…lishing a message. (jwage) This PR was squashed before being merged into the 6.4 branch. Discussion ---------- [Messenger] [Amqp] Handle AMQPConnectionException when publishing a message. | Q | A | ------------- | --- | Branch? | 6.4 | Bug fix? | yes | New feature? | no | Deprecations? | no | Issues | Fix #36538 Fix #48241 | License | MIT If you have a message handler that dispatches messages to another queue, you can encounter `AMQPConnectionException` with the message "Library error: a SSL error occurred" or "a socket error occurred" depending on if you are using tls or not or if you are running behind a load balancer or not. You can manually reproduce this issue by dispatching a message where the handler then dispatches another message to a different queue, then go to rabbitmq admin and close the connection manually, then dispatch another message and when the message handler goes to dispatch the other message, you will get this exception: ``` a socket error occurred #0 …adFromProcess` (fritzmg) This PR was merged into the 5.4 branch. Discussion ---------- [Console] Suppress `proc_open` errors within `Terminal::readFromProcess` | Q | A | ------------- | --- | Branch? | 5.4 | Bug fix? | yes | New feature? | no | Deprecations? | no | Issues | | License | MIT When instantiating `SymfonyStyle` in a command it will try to determine the maximum width of the current console interface. https://github.com/symfony/symfony/blob/6687e4ea35f45ebd73fb0315938103628cfb13a0/src/Symfony/Component/Console/Style/SymfonyStyle.php#L53 This will execute `stty -a | grep columns` down the line. Access to `stty` might be disallowed however, resulting in the following error: ``` ErrorException: Warning: proc_open(): Exec failed: Permission denied #16 /vendor/symfony/console/Terminal.php(220): Symfony\Component\Console\Terminal::readFromProcess #15 /vendor/symfony/console/Terminal.php(204): Symfony\Component\Console\Terminal::getSttyColumns #14 /vendor/symfony/console/Terminal.php(170): Symfony\Component\Console\Terminal::initDimensionsUsingStty #13 /vendor/symfony/console/Terminal.php(153): Symfony\Component\Console\Terminal::initDimensions #12 /vendor/symfony/console/Terminal.php(94): Symfony\Component\Console\Terminal::getWidth #11 /vendor/symfony/console/Style/SymfonyStyle.php(55): Symfony\Component\Console\Style\SymfonyStyle::__construct #10 /vendor/symfony/messenger/Command/ConsumeMessagesCommand.php(136): Symfony\Component\Messenger\Command\ConsumeMessagesCommand::interact #9 /vendor/symfony/console/Command/Command.php(311): Symfony\Component\Console\Command\Command::run ``` (Stack Trace actually from Symfony 6) The phpDoc of `Terminal::getSttyColumns` states > Runs and parses stty -a if it's available, _suppressing any error output_. The latter might refer to `['suppress_errors' => true]` (though I am not sure) - which is a Windows only functionality. In any case, since `Terminal::readFromProcess` already checks for ```php if (!$process = proc_open(…)) { return null; } ``` and ```php if (!\is_resource($process)) { return null; } ``` upstream in Symfony 6/7, indicating that `proc_open` might fail - this error can additionally be suppressed using `@`. Besides, `Process::start` also uses ``@proc_open`` (added in 099481f "Prevent warning in proc_open()"). Commits ------- 575249a suppress proc_open errors

…ope mode Review feedback (priorities symfony#1-symfony#11 + nits): * Vault decrypt: only HTTP 400 maps to DecryptionFailedException; 401/403/429 and 5xx now surface as a clear RuntimeException so operators can tell auth / quota / outage problems from a real ciphertext failure. 404 on the decrypt path is also masked as DecryptionFailedException to avoid an enumeration oracle. * SodiumKms decrypt: KeyNotFoundException is masked as DecryptionFailedException (same oracle concern); the misleading try/catch around `sodium_crypto_aead_*_decrypt` is dropped (the function returns false on bad MAC, never throws SodiumException). * Remove the dead Factory layer (Dsn, KmsFactoryInterface, AbstractKmsFactory, UnsupportedSchemeException) and NullKms — neither was wired anywhere and factory wiring through `framework.kms` config is left for a follow-up PR. * Add `symfony/kms` to the FrameworkBundle composer.json (require-dev + conflict on `<8.1`) so KmsClientPassTest can load on a standalone FrameworkBundle checkout. * `Component/Kms/composer.json` suggests `ext-openssl` (used by EnvelopeEncrypter). * LazyKms PHPDoc aligns with `ReflectionClass::newLazyProxy()` semantics. * Bridge READMEs gain the "This Bridge is experimental" banner. API tightening: * `Test\InMemoryKms` now embeds the keyId in its fake ciphertext prefix (`encrypted/<keyId>/<plaintext>`) so tests catch key-routing bugs where encrypt('a') is decrypted under key 'b'. * `KmsInterface` and `DataKeyGeneratorInterface` take `string $aad = ''` instead of `array $aad = []`; AAD is treated as opaque bytes everywhere, matching the AEAD primitive contract. The Sodium and Vault bridges drop their internal canonicalizeAad helpers. * The CLI `--aad` option becomes a single string passed straight through — no parsing, no canonicalization at the command boundary. EnvelopeEncrypter: * Add `Envelope` value object that owns its on-the-wire framing (`__toString` / `Envelope::fromBytes`); fields are the parsed components (keyId, wrappedDek, iv, tag, ciphertext). * Add `EnvelopeEncrypter` high-level helper: hides the data-key dance, uses AES-256-GCM locally on the bulk payload, returns a self-contained `Envelope`. Same flow regardless of the underlying KMS. CLI pivot to envelope mode: * `kms:encrypt` now produces a base64-encoded `Envelope`. The keyId is embedded in the envelope, so `kms:decrypt` no longer needs a key-id argument — the envelope is fully self-describing. * `kms:decrypt` writes the plaintext via `OutputInterface::write()` instead of `writeln()`, so the round-trip is byte-faithful (including binary or trailing-newline payloads). * The resolved KMS must implement DataKeyGeneratorInterface; if not, the command fails with a clear error pointing to the missing capability.
