Hello you!…. A warm welcome to This Woman’s Work….
My name is Rebecca Mack and I am a British writer.
Originally from the north of England, I have lived in London for nearly three decades.
I am also a wife, a mum to two teenage daughters and a former midwife and mental health recovery support worker. I am so happy that you have found your way here. Settle in, I would like to invite you to delve further into This Woman’s Work.
London - my home town, snapped on an evening walk.
A bit about me…
After spending years working in healthcare and decades pursuing my own personal healing journey, I reached midlife. With my daughters soon flying the nest, my marriage solid and my work in healthcare complete, I could have easily ambled into a life of gardening, walking and gentle contemplation. But I knew there was more important work to be done. This Woman’s Work. In September 2024 I began to write.
It was a gamble. But so is life. The gamble paid off and my writing has gone from strength to strength and so has this amazing community. From a few subscribers to a few thousand in less than a year. Viral notes and posts. Deep and meaningful connections formed across the oceans. Support, comraderies, friendships and allies flowing in abundance. This really could be the start of something special - I would love you to be a part of it too.
I am a feminist writer but my work is for everyone. You can expect explorations of mental health, motherhood and maternity, misogyny, midlife and marriage, alongside reflections on the current worldwide challenges of rising inequalities, injustices and inglorious leaders. The Orange Felon and his acolytes are never far from my mind or my work.
Connection and community are the focus of my writing. A place to get ‘better’ in every sense of the word. For our deeper selves, for the communities we live in and for the world we are entrusted with.

Is Meghan Markle the most despicable member of the Royal Household? Virginia Giuffre didn't think so.
One of my mentors Amy I Beeson 🐝 has been encouraging me to lean into the path the universe wants me to take. Recently it has been taking me down the delicious path of Cadbury’s Easter Eggs and binge-watching re-runs of Drag Race UK. However, on Thursday the universe took me to my local supermarket where I spotted a newspaper headline about Trump and took a photo for…
