Nicolas Goix – Unsupervised learning for Black Hole Cyg-X-1

Visualizations of various unsupervised models on ASM and PCA data from the canonical black hole Cyg X-1 are available here. This is a joint work with NYU center for data science. Human annotations (defining the hard, intermediate and soft state) are compared with Hidden Markov Models trained on ASM data.
