Terms of Service
Last updated: March 24, 2026
1. Acceptance
By accessing or using oosmetrics.com ("the Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. The Service is operated by Alessandro Flati, based in Italy ("we", "us", "our"). If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service.
2. Description of the Service
oosmetrics tracks publicly available metrics for open-source repositories hosted on GitHub. We compute derived metrics such as growth rates, acceleration, and originality scores from publicly available data obtained through the GitHub API. The Service provides a web interface, email digests, and (for paid subscribers) API access and AI-powered analysis.
3. Accounts
You may create an account using GitHub or Google OAuth. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You must provide accurate information and keep it up to date. You may delete your account at any time from your profile page, which permanently removes all associated data.
4. Free and Paid Plans
The Service offers free and paid tiers. Free features remain free and will not be locked behind a paywall after you start using them. Paid plans (Pro, AI) are billed monthly via Stripe. You may cancel at any time; access continues until the end of the billing period. Refunds are not provided for partial months.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to scrape, crawl, or bulk-download data from the Service beyond normal usage
- Circumvent rate limits, authentication, or access controls
- Impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation
- Interfere with the operation of the Service or its infrastructure
- Use the API in ways that compete directly with the core Service
6. Data Sources and Attribution
Repository data displayed on oosmetrics is sourced from the GitHub API and is subject to GitHub's Terms of Service. We link back to the original repositories on GitHub. Derived metrics (growth rate, acceleration, originality) are our own computations and do not represent GitHub's views or endorsements.
7. AI-Generated Content
Some features use AI models (Anthropic Claude) to generate descriptions, analysis reports, and search results. AI-generated content may contain inaccuracies. It is provided for informational purposes only and should not be relied upon as the sole basis for any decision. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of AI-generated content.
8. Intellectual Property
The Service, its design, metrics algorithms, and original content are the property of Alessandro Flati. Repository data belongs to their respective owners. You retain ownership of any content you provide (e.g., watchlists, preferences).
9. Limitation of Liability
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
10. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these terms. You may stop using the Service at any time. Upon termination, your right to use paid features ends immediately, but we will not charge you further.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or a notice on the Service. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
12. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of Italy. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Italy, without regard to conflict of law principles.
