Our name is our promise. We are built on the belief that progress thrives when communities stay open: open to new ideas, open to collaboration, and open to each other. Every year, we bring developers, founders, engineers, and industry leaders under one roof for an immersive two-day experience of inspiring keynotes, hands-on workshops, and meaningful connections.
We exist to make Greece a strategic destination for companies, hubs, universities, and investors seeking partnerships within global technology ecosystems. We believe that innovation doesn’t happen in isolation — it grows when people share, learn, and build together. That’s why every edition of Open Conf is designed not just as an event, but as a platform where real relationships are formed and new ventures begin.
Since our first edition in 2021, Open Conf has grown steadily into one of the most important gatherings in the Greek tech calendar. Over eight conferences and three hackathons, we’ve welcomed more than 700 attendees per year and built a thriving community supported by major IT companies, open-source communities, startups, innovation hubs, and research centers.
We are proudly community-driven. Every conference is made possible by over 80 volunteers who give their time and expertise because they believe in what we’re building together.
Behind Open Conf is a diverse, multidisciplinary team of technology professionals who volunteer their time to make it all happen. Our organizing committee brings together product leaders, software engineers, CTOs, security architects, and project managers from some of Greece’s and Europe’s leading tech companies. Alongside them, specialized subteams handle everything from content curation and marketing to ecosystem engagement and website development.
We are united by one thing: a shared passion for technology and community.
